Brother Patrick N. Morris, C.F.C., who served for a year at All Hallows High School in the Bronx, died Jan. 29. He was 81.
Brother Morris was at All Hallows, 1970-1971.
He served as deputy province leader for the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers, North America, 2005-2006, and province leader/provincial of the Western American Province, 1981-1993.
He also served in New Jersey, Hawaii, Michigan, Illinois, Arizona and Texas.
Brother Morris had lived since 2006 at St. Joseph’s Residence, New Rochelle.
Born in the Bronx, he was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School. He entered the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1957 and professed final vows in 1965.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry from Iona College, New Rochelle; a master’s in religious studies from the University of Detroit; and a master’s in education from Australia Catholic University, Melbourne.
His sister, Beatrice Casey, survives him.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 4 in Holy Family Church, New Rochelle. Burial was in the Christian Brothers Cemetery, West Park.
