Cathedral High School in Manhattan has elected six new members to its board of trustees.
“Each of our six new board members is a true leader in their field and bring a broad range of experience to our board,” said Maria Spagnuolo, principal of the all-girls Catholic high school.
“As we embark on our 115th anniversary, we look forward to working together with them to promote Cathedral High School and serve as role models for students and alumnae.”
The new members of the board of trustees are:
Arthur (Jim) Davis III
Davis spent 14 years at Loan Pricing Corp. (LPC), a global database information company, including nine years as president and CEO. Jim began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he worked in both corporate lending and asset securitization assignments in London, Helsinki and New York, and later served as a senior transactor in the asset securitization group at Citibank. For the past 20 years, he and his wife Sally have sponsored and mentored students at Cathedral High School.
David McCarthy
McCarthy is the principal of D.F. McCarthy LLC, a consulting and advisory firm. He also serves as a non-executive director of a European fund of hedge funds. In 2002, he co-founded Martello Investment Management, LP, a specialist fund of funds and advisory firm. Previously, he was an investment manager for Global Asset Management (GAM) where he managed GAM’s trading funds of funds. He has also served as deputy manager of the International Financial Advisory Service of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and was a consultant with McKinsey & Co.
Mary Mulvihill
Ms. Mulvihill is a member of the board of directors of Commonweal magazine. She previously served as executive director of the Grace Institute in Manhattan. While dean of Metropolitan College at St. John’s University, she founded the Institute for Catholic School Principals. She is a former trustee of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and a former member of the board of directors of the Fordham University Neighborhood Housing Program and the Women’s Refugee Commission.
Sally Pope Davis
Ms. Davis is the co-lead portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs for the firm’s Small Cap and SMID-Cap Value strategies with responsibilities for investments in the financial sector. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1989 and was named managing director in 2010. Prior experience includes two years as a bank analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman and six years at Chase Manhattan, where she was a vice president in capital planning and held positions in corporate finance.
Dr. Aaron Primm
Dr. Primm is the director of anesthesia for endoscopy at NYU Langone Medical Center, a patient safety specialist, and an assistant professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, board-certified in anesthesiology. He serves on several committees for the American Society of Anesthesiologists and is a voting delegate member of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists.
Kristen P. White
Ms. White is a portfolio manager focused on fixed-income, securitized assets at BlackRock, a global asset management firm. Previously, she was a portfolio strategist in Global Research at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and a fundamental equity research analyst at Credit Suisse. She is a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Ms. White has served as a peer advisor for the Forte Foundation’s MBA Launch program, a non-profit consortium of companies and business schools working together to launch women into careers through access to business education, opportunities and a community of successful women. She has also served as a mentor for Student Sponsor Partners and for Minds Matter, both non-profits that focus on high achieving, low-income high school students.
