‘Family of God’

Posted

The Easter issue of Catholic New York touched my heart. It felt like family. Cardinal Dolan validated our truth. “We’re apprehensive. We’re anxious. We’re alone.”

The entire issue highlights our Catholic family healing wounds from ”The single biggest threat to man’s continued dominance on the planet” (Father Bob Pagliari’s column). Ethical principles are emphasized.

Stories are shared: how technology is connecting us with the family of God, teaching our children and healing our sick. Young adults are encouraged to trust in our Father. Teens support “doctors and nurses, who take great risks..doing this work for community.”

And we feel proud of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who last May told fellow Regis alumni, “I worry about a pandemic.” He worried about a virus that attacks the lungs. How prescient!

Truly this is the family of God.
