A Month’s Mind Mass will be offered Wednesday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances de Chantal Church in the Bronx. Auxiliary Bishop Edmund Whalen will serve as principal celebrant. The homilist will be Mgr. John Graham, pastor of St. Frances de Chantal and regional dean of the East Bronx.

Msgr. Graham first met Father D’Incecco when they were seminarians at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie. They later served together at Cardinal Hayes High School, the Bronx.

“He was a very good and kind priest. He always had a special ability to talk to people that perhaps others would pass by and not give time to,” Msgr. Graham told CNY in a phone interview.

Msgr. Graham also remembered Father D’Incecco as friendly and outgoing, one who had a good sense of humor and was always ready to help with anything that needed to be done.

“He just was a very approachable kind of person. People felt at ease with him,” Msgr. Graham said.

Born in Manhattan, he attended Holy Rosary School in Manhattan and Cardinal Hayes High School, the Bronx.

He attended St. Francis College and earned a bachelor’s degree and a master of divinity in theology from St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie.
