Food for Thought

Attendance at Mass has been in steady decline. So, how can the Church improve attendance? Parishes should pay more attention to those who faithfully attend Mass. Worry less about empty pews, for surely they are occupied by angels in adoration of the Eucharist.

Parishioners who attend Mass have children, brothers, sisters and other relatives. This is the resource the Church must tap. How can this be done? One idea is to hold parish dinners, with open conversation and discussion on the spiritual value of Mass attendance, and listen to why some Catholics don’t come to church.
