“Signs of Holiness in Today’s World,” the sixth annual day of reflection, will be held Saturday, April 13, from 9 am. to 5 p.m. at Fordham University’s Rose Hill Campus, the Bronx.
The gathering is sponsored by lay ecclesial movements and communities of the Archdiocese of New York.
The event examines Pope Francis’ 2018 apostolic exhortation, “Gaudete Et Exsultate (Rejoice and Be Glad), On the Call to Holiness in Today’s World,” as expressed in family and youth, workplace and environment, social justice and peace, and media.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Kevin Ahern, theologian and assistant professor at Manhattan College, and Dr. Amy Uelmen, lecturer on religion and public life at Georgetown Law School.
The day includes eight group discussions—two in Spanish—and exhibits from the lay ecclesial ministry.
The Vigil Mass for Palm Sunday will be celebrated at 4 p.m. by Father Brian McWeeney, director of lay ecclesial movements for the archdiocese.
Pre-registration by Friday, April 5, $20, includes a box lunch. Registration at the door, $25, lunch not included.
