Maryann Milano

Maryann Milano, who served in religious education at St. Teresa parish on Staten Island for 12 years, died April 19 in Las Vegas. She was 73.

Mrs. Milano was at St. Teresa as director of religious education, 1981-1985, and a catechist, 1973-1981. She taught on Staten Island at Notre Dame Academy, 1991-1996; St. Peter’s Boys High School, 1985-1990 St. Sylvester School, 1969-1970; and Moore Catholic High School, 1968-1969. She also served in Las Vegas.

Born in the Bronx, she received a bachelor’s degree in education from Ladycliff College, Highland Falls, and a master’s in theology from St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sal; children, Beth, Sal Jr. and Kenn; siblings Harriett, Charles, Anthony, John and Joseph; and seven grandchildren.

Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery in Boulder, Nev. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled for a later date at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Las Vegas.
