Petits Cantors del Principat D’Andorra pose in the sanctuary of the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in lower Manhattan July 21. The choristers performed a pre-Mass recital and sang during the 7 p.m. liturgy that day. The choir of boys and girls, ages 8-18, receives and transmits the legacy of the European choral tradition and comes from different educational systems: Andorran, Spanish and French, religious and secular. They are directed by Catherine Metayer, second row right, and accompanied on piano by Harmony Perdu-Alloy, third row right. They also recently performed at the United Nations, before delegates of member states, U.N. staff, civil society representatives and accredited visitors.
