Sister Anne Walsh, O.S.U., a teacher at Blessed Sacrament School in New Rochelle for 10 years, died July 19 at Andrus on Hudson in Hastings-on-Hudson. She was 86.

Sister Anne served at Blessed Sacrament, 1976-1986. She was a community service volunteer at St. Teresa’s, New Rochelle, 2010-2016; part-time coordinator at Andrus on Hudson, 2006-2010; and served on the administrative team of the former Ursuline Marian Residence infirmary, New Rochelle, 2002-2005. She also served in Malone, Maryland and Delaware.

Born in Newport, R.I., she entered the Ursuline Order in Beacon in 1955 and professed final vows in 1963.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of New Rochelle and a master’s in education from Villanova University, Villanova, Pa.

A Funeral Mass was offered July 23 in the Ursuline Province Center, New Rochelle. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle.
