Sister Patricia Ann O’Brien, S.C., who served at St. Joseph’s School in Florida, N.Y., for 13 years, died April 21 at Cabrini of Westchester in Dobbs Ferry. She was 86.

Sister Patricia Ann was at St. Joseph, 1981-1994. She was administrator at Mount St. Joseph, New Windsor, 2004-2007; personnel director of Mary the Queen Convent, Yonkers, 1995-2004; resident mother at Elinor Martin Residence, White Plains, 1994.

She taught at Nativity of Our Blessed Lady, the Bronx, 1971-1981; St. Barnabas, the Bronx, 1965-1968; St. Emeric, Manhattan, 1962-1965; and Blessed Sacrament, Staten Island 1955-1961. She was principal of St. Joseph, Yonkers, 1968-1970.
She retired in 2007 to Seton Village, Nanuet, where she volunteered until last year.

Born in Manhattan, she entered the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1952 and professed final vows in 1960.

A graduate of Cathedral High School in Manhattan, she earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Mount St. Vincent, and a master’s in education from Manhattan College, both in the Bronx.

A Memorial Mass and burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
